    The Opus 118 website should reflect the attitude of our students--energetic, bright, and creative. If you are an experienced web designer or graphic designer, we'd appreciate any amount of work you could donate to our web site. A staff member will be available daily for consultations.

    PART-TIME REGISTRAR

    Opus 118 is currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized and reliable individual with strong computer skills to join our team.

    Responsibilities of the Registrar are as follows:
    - Registration: Work with our computer system to create class listings and enroll students in their respective classes
    - Billing: Mail out bills and process payments
    - Financial Aid
    - Parent and Student Interaction: Be able to answer questions both via in-person and phone
    - Class and Performance Scheduling: Coordinate with teachers and staff to set the class schedule and manage both in-school and out of school performances (i.e. programs, transportation, chaperones)

    Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-8:30pm with additional hours to be arranged

    Compensation: $12/hr
    Hours: 15-20/week

    SPECIAL PROJECT INTERNS
    (Development, Community Programs)

    This volunteer opportunity is unique, with significant responsibility and a real chance to impact our organization. There is regular interaction with staff and constituents as well as flexibility to create your own initiatives. Our summer intern from Yale explains that, “At Opus 118, I’ve had the opportunity to take on real responsibility and to see how a small non-profit works from the inside.” And our intern from the University of Miami shares, “As an intern, you foster a creative space for the children of Harlem to explore music without boundaries.” Opus 118 HSM seeks motivated candidates for one of two fall or year long internships in Development or Community Programs.

    Special Project Responsibilities are divided into two focus areas and include, but are not limited to:

    - Overseeing strategic planning and development of Community Programs Initiative (CPI), including growth planning, researching potential partners, liaising with current or prospective partners, developing marketing, evaluation, and operation materials, and directly supporting the Interim Executive Director.

    - Managing Development related projects including liaising with donors, drafting correspondence, preparing grants, researching funding opportunities, managing donor databases, overseeing marketing efforts, maintaining website, developing corporate and individual donor programs, oversee annual appeal, and directly support the External Relations Manager.

    2. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    3. Exceptional organizational skills.
    4. Strong computer and quantitative skills.
